EFT TAPPING

A gentle way to work with difficult thoughts and feelings.

EFT — commonly known as Tapping — combines elements of talking therapy with gentle tapping on acupressure points on the face and upper body.

It offers a practical way to explore emotional responses, difficult experiences and the patterns that can sometimes leave us feeling anxious, overwhelmed or stuck.

Sometimes understanding why isn’t enough.

Have you ever known logically that you’re safe — but still felt anxious?

Known you shouldn’t blame yourself — but still carried guilt?

Known that something happened years ago — but found your body reacts as though it happened yesterday?

Or told yourself a hundred times not to worry about something, only to find yourself worrying anyway?

We’re very good at trying to think our way out of emotions.

Sometimes that works. Sometimes it doesn’t.

EFT provides another way of approaching those feelings.

Talking and tapping together.

During EFT, we gently bring our attention to a feeling, thought, memory or situation while tapping with our fingertips on a sequence of points on the face and upper body.

I guide you through the process throughout the session.

There is no requirement to believe anything particular for us to work together, and you don’t need previous experience of EFT.

What might bring someone to EFT?

People seek support for many different reasons, including:

You don’t need to fit neatly into one of these categories. What matters is what you are experiencing.

A technique you can make your own.

One of the reasons I was drawn to EFT is that the client remains actively involved.

I’m not doing something to you.

We’re working together.

And as you become familiar with tapping, you can begin using the basic technique independently — before a stressful meeting, when your thoughts are racing, during a difficult day, or simply when you notice emotions beginning to build.

For me, that is an important part of EFT: helping people develop something practical that doesn’t disappear when the session ends.

EFT that begins with you.

There isn’t a script that every client follows.

We begin by talking about what is happening in your life and what you would like to change.

Sometimes we know exactly what we want to explore. Other times, we begin with the feeling that is present now and gently follow where it leads.

You never need to force yourself into somewhere you aren’t ready to go.

WORKING TOGETHER

Support from wherever you happen to be.

All sessions are available online, which means we can work together wherever you live.

Let’s Talk

We begin with an initial consultation. This gives you the opportunity to tell me a little about what has brought you here, ask questions and decide whether working together feels right for you.

Your Personal Approach

There is no standard programme that everyone follows. We’ll talk about what you would like support with and agree an approach based around you.

Online EFT Sessions

We meet privately online. I’ll guide you through the tapping process while we gently explore the thoughts, feelings or experiences you would like to work with.

Something You Can Take With You

One of the things I love about EFT is that it doesn’t have to remain inside our sessions. As you become comfortable with tapping, you can use the technique yourself when you need it.
QUESTIONS ABOUT EFT

A few things you might be wondering…

Do I need to have tried EFT before?

Not at all. Most people don’t need any previous experience of tapping. I’ll explain the process and guide you through it at a pace that feels comfortable.

Do I have to talk about everything that has happened to me?

No. EFT can often be used without going into every detail of an experience. We can work gently and you remain in control of what you choose to discuss.

How many sessions will I need?

There isn’t a set number because everyone comes with different experiences and goals. We’ll discuss what you would like to work on during your initial consultation and I can suggest an appropriate way forward.

Can we work together if I live outside the UK?

Yes. Sessions are online, so I can work with clients in different countries, subject to any applicable professional or regulatory requirements.

Is EFT a replacement for medical treatment or psychotherapy?

No. EFT should not be used as a substitute for medical diagnosis, treatment or appropriate mental-health care. If you are receiving treatment, I encourage you to continue following the advice of your healthcare professional.

Curious whether tapping could help you?

You don’t need to make a big commitment.

We can start with an initial conversation about what you are experiencing, what you hope might change and whether working together feels right.
