EFT FOR MUMS

Motherhood can be beautiful and overwhelming at the same time.

Becoming a mum brings enormous change.

There can be love, joy and wonder — alongside exhaustion, anxiety, self-doubt, guilt and a sense that everybody else seems to know what they are doing.

Those feelings do not make you a bad mother.

They make you human.

EFT can offer a gentle space to acknowledge some of what you are carrying.

You became a mum. You didn’t stop being you.

The early months and years of motherhood can change almost every part of life.
  • Your body.
  • Your routines.
  • Your sleep.
  • Your relationship.
  • Your identity.
  • Your priorities.
Even your sense of freedom. People often ask about the baby. Far fewer people ask how you are doing.

You may be struggling with…

You do not need to love every minute.

Motherhood comes with an extraordinary amount of expectation.

We are told to treasure it.

Enjoy it.

Be grateful.

Do everything correctly.

Remain patient.

Stay organised.

Look after ourselves.

And somehow do all of that while surviving on very little sleep.

It is hardly surprising that so many mums feel overwhelmed.

A gentle place to put some of the pressure down.

EFT can be used to explore specific feelings and worries connected with motherhood.

That might be anxiety, guilt, fear of getting things wrong, a difficult birth experience, changing relationships or simply the emotional overload of being responsible for another human being.

Knowing when additional support matters.

The postnatal period can involve significant physical and mental-health changes.

EFT should complement rather than replace appropriate medical or mental-health care.

If you are concerned about postnatal depression, severe anxiety, intrusive thoughts or your own or your baby’s safety, please seek appropriate professional support promptly.

No judgement here.

I am a mum of three.

I know motherhood can contain some of the happiest moments of your life and some of the most difficult — sometimes within minutes of one another.

You are allowed to talk honestly about both.

WORKING TOGETHER

Support from wherever you happen to be.

All sessions are available online, which means we can work together wherever you live.

Let’s Talk

We begin with an initial consultation. This gives you the opportunity to tell me a little about what has brought you here, ask questions and decide whether working together feels right for you.

Your Personal Approach

There is no standard programme that everyone follows. We’ll talk about what you would like support with and agree an approach based around you.

Online EFT Sessions

We meet privately online. I’ll guide you through the tapping process while we gently explore the thoughts, feelings or experiences you would like to work with.

Something You Can Take With You

One of the things I love about EFT is that it doesn’t have to remain inside our sessions. As you become comfortable with tapping, you can use the technique yourself when you need it.
QUESTIONS ABOUT EFT

A few things you might be wondering…

Do I need to have tried EFT before?

Not at all. Most people don’t need any previous experience of tapping. I’ll explain the process and guide you through it at a pace that feels comfortable.

Do I have to talk about everything that has happened to me?

No. EFT can often be used without going into every detail of an experience. We can work gently and you remain in control of what you choose to discuss.

How many sessions will I need?

There isn’t a set number because everyone comes with different experiences and goals. We’ll discuss what you would like to work on during your initial consultation and I can suggest an appropriate way forward.

Can we work together if I live outside the UK?

Yes. Sessions are online, so I can work with clients in different countries, subject to any applicable professional or regulatory requirements.

Is EFT a replacement for medical treatment or psychotherapy?

No. EFT should not be used as a substitute for medical diagnosis, treatment or appropriate mental-health care. If you are receiving treatment, I encourage you to continue following the advice of your healthcare professional.

Perhaps it’s time for somebody to ask how you are.

If you would like a little space to focus on your own emotional wellbeing, you are welcome to contact me.
