Loss can change everything.
It can bring sadness, anger, guilt, relief, confusion, fear, numbness — sometimes all within the same day.
EFT cannot remove the importance of someone or something you have lost, and grief is not something I believe should simply be “fixed”.
It can, however, offer a gentle way to work with some of the emotions surrounding that loss.
People often imagine grief as sadness.
In reality it can be much more complicated.
Every relationship and every loss is different.
We can grieve many things.
The death of someone we love.
A relationship ending.
Loss of health.
A pregnancy loss.
A career ending.
Children leaving home.
Moving away from somewhere that felt like home.
A future we expected but did not get.
Something does not have to involve bereavement for the loss to be real.
With tapping, we can gently explore particular feelings associated with the loss.
Perhaps there is a memory that feels especially painful.
Something you wish you had said.
A feeling of guilt.
Anger about what happened.
Fear about living without the person or situation that was once part of your life.
The aim is not to remove love or important memories.
It is to support you as you navigate the emotional weight surrounding them.
There is no universal timetable for grief.
You do not have to reach a particular stage by a particular date.
And feeling better for a day does not mean you have forgotten someone.
Healing and remembering can exist together.
There may be experiences you do not want to describe in detail.
That is okay.
We can work carefully with what feels manageable and pause whenever needed.
Grief deserves gentleness.
All sessions are available online, which means we can work together wherever you live.
