EFT & DIFFICULT EXPERIENCES

When something from the past still feels present.

Difficult experiences do not always stay neatly where they happened.

A memory may be years old, yet certain situations, conversations or reminders can still produce a powerful emotional reaction.

EFT can offer a gentle way to work with some of those responses, at a pace that feels manageable.

You do not have to compare your experience with somebody else’s.

Some people immediately recognise an experience as traumatic.

Others minimise what happened because they believe somebody else has experienced something “worse”.

What matters is not whether your story meets somebody else’s definition.

What matters is how the experience is affecting you.

You may notice

You do not have to tell me every detail.

One reason I value EFT is that difficult experiences can often be approached gradually.

We do not have to begin with the hardest part.

We can work around the edges.

We can focus on what is happening now.

We can pause.

You remain in control of what you choose to discuss.

There is no prize for going too fast.

When working around trauma, feeling safe matters more than reaching a particular outcome quickly.

If something feels overwhelming, we slow down.

If an issue requires specialist trauma therapy or more intensive mental-health support, I will always encourage you to seek appropriate professional care.

Complementary support, not a replacement.

EFT can form one part of emotional support following difficult experiences.

It should not replace medical care, psychiatric treatment or specialist trauma therapy where these are required.

Working appropriately is more important than trying to make EFT fit every situation.

WORKING TOGETHER

Support from wherever you happen to be.

All sessions are available online, which means we can work together wherever you live.

Let’s Talk

We begin with an initial consultation. This gives you the opportunity to tell me a little about what has brought you here, ask questions and decide whether working together feels right for you.

Your Personal Approach

There is no standard programme that everyone follows. We’ll talk about what you would like support with and agree an approach based around you.

Online EFT Sessions

We meet privately online. I’ll guide you through the tapping process while we gently explore the thoughts, feelings or experiences you would like to work with.

Something You Can Take With You

One of the things I love about EFT is that it doesn’t have to remain inside our sessions. As you become comfortable with tapping, you can use the technique yourself when you need it.
QUESTIONS ABOUT EFT

A few things you might be wondering…

Do I need to have tried EFT before?

Not at all. Most people don’t need any previous experience of tapping. I’ll explain the process and guide you through it at a pace that feels comfortable.

Do I have to talk about everything that has happened to me?

No. EFT can often be used without going into every detail of an experience. We can work gently and you remain in control of what you choose to discuss.

How many sessions will I need?

There isn’t a set number because everyone comes with different experiences and goals. We’ll discuss what you would like to work on during your initial consultation and I can suggest an appropriate way forward.

Can we work together if I live outside the UK?

Yes. Sessions are online, so I can work with clients in different countries, subject to any applicable professional or regulatory requirements.

Is EFT a replacement for medical treatment or psychotherapy?

No. EFT should not be used as a substitute for medical diagnosis, treatment or appropriate mental-health care. If you are receiving treatment, I encourage you to continue following the advice of your healthcare professional.

We can begin gently.

You do not need to tell me your whole story in your first message.

Simply let me know that you would like to talk about whether EFT could be suitable for what you are experiencing.
